Testing is a privatised mess and England's contact tracing is too. Now we're all under new restrictions for potentially another six months. We need safe, public test and trace NOW.

We know this government hasn't listened to the evidence so far. So we wanted to get the attention of our decision makers with a stunt. Dressed as beers, we went to Matt Hancock's department to say: Serco couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery! Please will you help us get the message to decision makers today by doing your own toast to our NHS and public health teams?

The test, track and trace system goes from bad to worse.

We need to take action that will show Matt Hancock and his government that the public is clear on the solutions needed and we'll keep calling for them.

We went to the Department of Health and Social Care to make a statement ([link removed]) and get in the news. But you taking action will spread the word about what we want, so that MPs will see our pictures and start to feel the heat!

With test and trace falling apart at the seams, now is the time to take action so that they kick private companies out of test and trace, starting with ending Serco and Sitel's contracts in contact tracing!

In the last few days, we found out that Serco have subcontracted 9,000 of the 10,000 workers they were supposed to provide. And they gave work to a company whose failures have cost the government £30 MILLION ([link removed]) . We can't let them get away with this.

By sharing a picture of you toasting our NHS and public health teams today, you're bringing this issue up the agenda and helping all of us to get a test and trace system in public hands.

By tagging your MP, you're showing them that you know full well it isn't NHS test and trace if private companies are running it, and you want them to do something about it!

It's absolutely vital that we have a safe and working system, and everything you can do to bring this issue to their doorstep is vital. Thank you so much!
