Friend,

In the coming days, you’re probably going to see more emails from my team asking for your financial support before the End of Quarter FEC Deadline. That’s why I wanted to give you a little context for why this deadline is so important, and why we’re sending so many emails.

Here is the real scoop about campaign deadlines.

Every three months, my campaign sends a public report to the Federal Elections Commission that details how much money we’ve raised, where it came from, and what we are spending it on. Election experts, Don Young’s campaign, and his special interest allies will pull up these reports to search for signs of weakness.

We need to show everyone how strong and serious our campaign is by raising enough money to pay for all of the things we need to win.

Trust me: I don’t like asking for money. Unfortunately, modern campaigns are expensive, and I don’t have special interest pals in Washington to fund a campaign to unseat a 47-year incumbent. I also decided to reject all corporate PAC money, so Alaskans know I will only be accountable to them in office. I will work in Congress to get money out of politics, but until then, I need grassroots contributions from you.

That’s why a lot of our money comes from people like you, reading emails like this, and giving what they can.

How your funds are spent to get to change.

Don Young is airing negative ads lying about who I am and what I believe. You’ll hear us say, “We have to fight back,” but what does that really mean? It means we’re putting out mailers and ads that refute these claims, contrast our visions for our state, and tell the truth about his record in Washington.

But it’s not all ads, mailers, and “politics as usual.” We’re also innovating and investing in giving Alaskans who support our campaign the tools to earn votes by reaching out to their friends, family, and neighbors in communities across the state. That’s one of the best ways for voters to hear the truth about me and our campaign. We’ve held over 120 community meetings so far, and we have plans for many more in the last 40 days before election day.

All of this hard work helps us get closer to our ultimate goal: putting the strong voice Alaska needs in DC to clean up our healthcare, develop infrastructure projects to get Alaskans back to work, and strengthen our education system to connect Alaskans with those jobs. When we conquer this pandemic we will build a better Alaska together.

All of this takes funding, and it is why I’m asking you to chip in what you can to support our campaign before the FEC deadline. We’ve set a goal to raise $50,000 from now until the deadline on Wednesday. There are just 40 days left until Election Day, and I need you to get us across the finish line.

I don’t take asking for your money lightly. These are challenging times, and I don’t expect folks to give to every email we send. But, regardless of your situation, I hope you’ll read the emails to stay up to date with our campaign and forward them to your friends if you feel inspired to do so.

Thanks for being a valued member of our team.
