Florida famously votes 50/50 in state-wide elections, yet Republicans control over 60% of the seats in the House of Representatives.
Why? Gerrymandering. Simply put, the legislature draws the maps; they pick their voters instead of voters picking their representatives.
Now, two of our most vulnerable 2018 gains, Adam Hattersley and Margaret Good, are both vacating seats to run for Congress; we HAVE to hold these seats or we risk another super-minority and another 10-years of being shut-out of power.
Who we elect in 2020 will draw the next generation of maps for Florida and so we have a choice to make, we can allow Republicans to continue their power-grab unchecked, or we can fight back.
I'm running for the Florida House to fight back.
You can help me by becoming a monthly sustainer of our campaign. Just $8 per month, over the next 15-months, will help us reach over 100 persuadable voters with both mail, digital ads, and a good ol' fashioned door-knock. Can you help me do that?
I wouldn't ask if we didn't have to and I want you to know I sincerely appreciate you and your support! Together, we can do this!
