Friends,

As I write this, we are just 40 days out from the most important presidential election of our lifetimes. 

This election is about far more than our different views on policy, although those are substantial and have major implications for a woman’s right to choose, access to health care, the fight against climate change and protection from deportation for Dreamers,  just to name a few. This is an existential fight for the soul of our country and the future we leave our children. The last four years have been too hard for too many people. Now it’s Sacramento’s chance to help redeem our nation and its standing in the world before it is irreparably damaged.  We’ve seen the harm one term can do.  

I am calling on all of my friends, colleagues, supporters and constituents to join me, Congressman Ami Bera and people across the Sacramento region this Saturday at 10:00am to help elect Joe Biden and win a Democratic Majority in the U.S. Senate.  

Sacramento has an opportunity to be the difference maker in delivering a key swing state and critical electoral votes for the Biden campaign. We are a community that does not sit on the sidelines. We are a community of people who fight for the progressive values we hold. Now is the time to fight.
