I've got great news to share: this month, my Arctic Cultural and Coastal Plain Protection Act will be coming up for a historic vote in the House. This is our bill to halt the oil drilling plans for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and I’m really going to need your help moving this forward.

The Trump administration and the GOP are trying to allow oil and gas drilling in the Arctic, slipping an oil exploration requirement into their unfair tax law. I introduced this bill to reverse this, and protect one of our nation’s most beautiful, pristine natural areas.

A few weeks ago, the Trump administration announced a new set of rollbacks to the Endangered Species Act -- even though we know endangered species need more protection, not less. And late last month, Trump’s EPA proposed slashing restrictions on methane emissions, one of the most dangerous drivers of climate change.

We must fight back. With my bill coming up for a vote soon, we need to gather our strength and make sure the Trump administration’s dangerous policies are not allowed to take hold.
