NEW YORK CITY, NY – A double cop killer will soon be a free man.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York said 68-year-old Anthony Bottom, who now calls himself Jalil Abdul Mutagim, could be released on parole as early as next month.
Bottom was convicted in the murder of two New York City Police Department officers in 1971. At the time, he was a member of the Black Liberation Army. Read More.

LOUISVILLE, KY – Police say they’ve arrested a man who opened fire Wednesday night, hitting two Louisville Metro police officers.
He’s Larynzo Johnson. He’s now charged with 14 counts of wanton endangerment on a police officer and two counts of assault on a police officer.
As of Thursday morning, bond has not been set for him. He’s not scheduled to be arraigned until Friday. Read More.
