CR to Hinder Acquisition, MILCON, and More

As Congress looks to delay passage of a new federal funding package until after the November elections, the Air Force is warning that even a three-month gap would harm national defense. A short-term continuing resolution would slow the purchase of new battlefield communication aircraft and certain construction projects, while 12-month legislation would cause a bigger dent in military readiness and technology upgrades, the Air Force said. A stopgap spending bill would also hinder the Space Force's growth into a full-fledged armed force. Read more
