We’ve learned of yet another proposal that strikes at the heart of the Endangered Species Act.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration put forth a new rule that would let the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) reduce the amount of critical habitat protected for threatened and endangered species.
We can’t afford to let these imperiled animals go without the habitat they need to survive. Join us in standing up to this anti-wildlife proposal!
No animal can survive without suitable habitat. Species often become endangered due to habitat loss in the first place. With up to a million species worldwide are at risk of extinction within the coming decades, we should be working to strengthen – not weaken – the Endangered Species Act.
But this administration is trying to exclude even more areas from being designated as critical habitat – a decision that will only harm more already vulnerable animals and increase the likelihood of extinction for those most at risk. And their attacks aren’t stopping - this is the second attempt by this administration to eat away at habitat protections for imperiled wildlife in just the last two months!!
It’s up to you and me to sound the alarm and publicly demand that these extremist bureaucrats stop their wanton efforts to weaken the ESA. What they are doing jeopardizes the most precious legacy we leave to our children.
These attacks must stop. Please take a moment to add your voice to the growing outcry against the destruction of our wild world!
