Friend,

With Hurricane Dorian bearing down on the Carolinas and the Bahamas in ruins, it is more important than ever that we stand in solidarity with those on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

Join us in the streets later this month to demand that governments take bold and immediate action to address the climate catastrophe that threatens the future of every young person on this planet. On Friday, September 20, Americans from all walks of life will band together to demand climate action in what will likely be the largest climate mobilization in history.

From Anchorage, Alaska to Miami, Florida, plaintiffs in the #youthvgov movement will speak at strikes to demand that we have our voices heard. Join my co-plaintiffs and me across the country to show solidarity with the broader youth climate movement.

It’s already been a big month. On Wednesday, I represented the Juliana 21 on national television and asked presidential candidate Andrew Yang if he believes that the president of the United States has a constitutional obligation to end support of a fossil fuel energy system. Watch the video clip here.

On Monday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. EDT, I’ll be back in NYC to speak at the Intercept’s “Right to a Future” event with Naomi Klein, my co-plaintiff Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, fellow youth climate activists Greta Thunberg and Xiye Bastida, and Amazonian indigenous leader Tuntiak Katan. Be sure to tune in to the livestream here

See you in the streets,
