Reframing the Conversation: Offensive and Defensive Communications in the Time of COVID

Today, you can get someone’s attention and sway their beliefs in the time it takes to write a Tweet. At this speed, preparing for both reactive and proactive communications is critical. However, many of us have not enough time and too much to say, and our communications can be muddied—or worse yet, misconstrued.

In recent months, the Trump Administration has made efforts to roll back decades of evidence-based practice, and housing justice advocates have been sent scrambling to respond effectively. This webinar will look at effective strategies in planning ahead and reacting quickly, as well as how to offensively and defensively change the harmful narratives around us.

Join us on October 7th at 2:00 EDT to hear speakers from both national and local organizations. These marketing and public relations experts will share their experiences on changing the narrative during COVID-19, elevated attention on racial inequity, and other current events affecting people experiencing homelessness.

This biweekly webinar series will share the actions and legal strategies needed to ensure a right to housing both during the COVID-19 and moving forward. Keep an eye out for future themes and speakers!
