When far-right conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylore Greene won her primary to represent Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, we knew the dangers she posed to our campaign.

So we weren’t surprised that GA-14th’s failed excuse for a Republican nominee tweeted an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory against our campaign -- and posted a photo of Carolyn and former GA House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams to incite her legion of far-right followers.

The urgency of this moment is clear: We need to fight back against the threat the far-right poses to our democracy.

Extremism, conspiracy theories, and the vile racism and bigotry at their roots have no place in Congress. Unfortunately, she has a clear path to victory -- and she’s doing everything she can to make sure she’s not the only extremist in Congress.

It’s no secret that Rich McCormick dabbles in extremist conspiracy theories himself, having gone on far-right YouTube channels to tout fake cures for the coronavirus and parrot bigoted rhetoric. In fact, his wife donated the legal maximum amount required by law to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s campaign.

Carolyn Bourdeaux is fighting to restore dignity and unity to our country, ensure that Georgia families get access to affordable health care, and ensure that our most vulnerable are equally represented.

And she will stand strong against the far-right falsehoods and bigotry threatening harm against our country.
