Dear John,

The 2020 General Election is only 40 days away. We are in the final push to elect pro-environment candidates in important races from local to statewide. Will you help us get our endorsed candidates across the finish line by making a contribution to the OLCV PAC today? Your donation may be eligible for Oregon’s Political Tax Credit. This election is critically important for our environment and our democracy. In 2019 and again in 2020, Republicans in the State Senate walked out on the job in order to kill the Clean Energy Jobs bill, ignoring the will of the voters who overwhelmingly support action on climate change. A key part of the work that the Oregon League of Conservation Voters does is holding our elected officials accountable—now we must hold these legislators accountable for walking out on our environment and our democracy.

Support our work by making a donation to the OLCV PAC today. If you’re eligible for Oregon’s Political Tax Credit, you can give $50 or $100 to the OLCV PAC and get your donation back when you file your taxes next year. It’s a free donation that you can use to support our work electing environmental champions. DONATE: [link removed]

Your contribution today will help us elect:

Eileen Kiely, running for Senate District 27 (Bend/Deschutes County) Eileen is a mom, veteran, and retired business executive who is running to represent Central Oregon in the legislature. She understands the importance of protecting our environment and taking action on climate change. Eileen is running against State Senator Tim Knopp who joined the 2019 Republican walkout and fled to Idaho, and whose lifetime score in our Environmental Scorecard is just 16%. Let’s kick out Knopp and send Eileen to the Capitol.

Deb Patterson, running for Senate District 10 (Salem) Deb has a background in health care and education, and she believes that all Oregonians should have access to high quality healthcare, safe and affordable housing, and a healthy environment. Deb is running against State Senator Denyc Boles, who voted against the Clean Energy Jobs bill when she was in the House and after she was appointed to the Senate joined fellow Republicans in walking out on the job. It’s time to hold Sen. Boles accountable and elect Deb Patterson who will show up to work and fight for Oregon’s people, places, and environment.

Help us flip these seats from anti-environment to pro-environment. Donate $10, $20, $35, $50, $100, or whatever amount is right for you. Every dollar makes a difference. DONATE: [link removed]

We’re also working hard to elect State Senator Shemia Fagan as Oregon’s next Secretary of State. This is a critically important statewide office that oversees our state’s elections and is one of three that make up our State Land Board. Shemia is running against State Senator Kim Thatcher, another extreme right-wing Republican Senator who walked out on our democracy. Shemia is an environmental champion with a lifetime score of 91% in our Environmental Scorecard and she’s the best choice for Oregon’s next Secretary of State.

Our environment, our democracy, our very way of life—it’s all on the line this election. We need your help to elect pro-environment candidates like Shemia Fagan, Eileen Kiely, Deb Patterson, and many others. Can I count on your support? DONATE: [link removed]

Sincerely,

Doug Moore, Executive Director OLCV

PS: The election is less than six weeks away. We need your help now to elect environmental champions this November. Will you chip in today to help? DONATE: [link removed]
