Coloradans are hungry for change. I know because I’ve spent the last seven months—and much of the last 25 years—traveling across the state, listening to their concerns.
I’ve heard young people address the climate emergency with far more urgency than most adults. Unlike other Democrats in this race, I’ve taken the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge, and I’m leading the fight for a Green New Deal.
I’ve heard families describe losing their loved ones not only to mental illness or drug addiction but to the indifference of an insurance industry that denies their claims. Unlike other candidates, I don’t take money from corporate PACs, and I’m leading the fight for Medicare for All, so that no American has to go bankrupt or die because of the cost of health care.
I’ve heard parents cry in anguish at the daily threat of gun violence. Unlike Cory Gardner, I earned an F from the NRA, and I’m leading the fight for common-sense gun reform, including universal background checks and a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
