HuffPost reports that at a recent rally in Nevada, President Donald Trump once again incited his supporters to chant “lock him up,” calling for the imprisonment of former president Barack Obama. At the rally, Trump repeated his evidence-free claim that Obama “got caught spying” on his campaign. He added: “We have him cold. Now let’s see what happens.”

Trump is doing everything he can to block Obama’s efforts to help Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win in November, but former president Obama isn’t paying him any attention. Instead, he’s been a leader to follow in the buildup to the election, offering his charisma and political expertise to shape the Biden-Harris campaign and draw in disengaged voters.

Obama’s legacy and input will play a crucial role in determining this election -- but a recent Economist poll found that Obama's and Trump’s approval ratings are dangerously close.
