Yesterday, Trump refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the election in November.

Let that sink in. Never in the history of our nation have we failed to peacefully transition from one president to the next.

Trump has attacked the USPS and mail-in voting so that he can raise questions about the legitimacy of the election when he loses.

In fact, yesterday he told reporters that we should just “get rid of the ballots”. I won’t mince words here — this is fascism, and Trump’s Republican buddies in Congress won’t lift a finger to stop him.

We need to register, engage, and mobilize as many voters as possible for an overwhelming victory in November. As Trump continues to push false narratives about voter fraud, we need to stay focused on reaching undecided voters and turning out voters ahead of November. Ensuring a high voter turnout and an overwhelming win may be our only chance at a peaceful power transfer.
