Speech from the Throne outlined our Liberal government’s plan to support Canadians through this global health and economic crisis, and to build back better with a more resilient Canada. A Canada that is healthier and safer, cleaner and more competitive, and more inclusive and fair — for everyone.

It’s a plan for bold action on health, the economy, equality, and the environment – and disappointingly, the Conservative Party immediately made clear that they’ll vote against it:

Voting to oppose this Throne Speech means voting against real progress that Canadians are counting on, including:

- Extending key support to help Canadian workers, families, and small businesses through COVID-19
- New national standards for long-term care
- Creating one million jobs across Canada

- Taking action on the extreme risks of climate change
- Ensuring that high-quality early learning and child care are available to all
- Moving forward with a national, universal pharmacare program

- Walking the shared path of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples
- Ending systemic racism and building a more inclusive Canada
- And so much more
