Friend,

Our friend Dean needs our help.

When we first spent time together in Minnesota some years ago, I was struck by Dean's optimism. He dwells in possibility and knows there's always a way through even the most difficult of circumstances.

This election is no different. For nearly four years we've been subjected to the relentless fear mongering and divisiveness of Donald Trump and his enablers. It has been as constant as it has been cruel.

Now, just weeks before the most consequential election of our lifetimes, the contrast couldn't be more clear as our nation faces the decision to choose optimism or fear.

And at this crucial moment in our history, I believe optimism to be an act of patriotism.

That is why I'm inviting you to join me the evening of Wednesday, September 30th for the premiere of Dean's first campaign ad -- a political spot unlike any you've ever seen. Just chip in $5 or whatever you can, and you'll be RSVPed to attend the premiere of the ad with me and Dean on Zoom!

I've seen the ad, and I mean it when I say it's just what we all need right now. We'll watch it together and Dean and I will talk about how optimism can illuminate our way forward, even during the darkest of times.

I hope you'll join us on September 30th and support Dean's campaign for Congress and message of hopefulness for our country.

Remember, we're all in this together - and optimism is just as contagious as fear!

Thanks,

Laura Dern
