The passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg (RBG) has added one more log to the 2020 General Election fire. Those of us in the Second Amendment movement have long known that Ginsberg was an enemy of the Second Amendment. Ginsberg was a President Clinton appointee during the time of the 1994 semi-auto ban. RBG, who came from the DC Circuit, was part of the swamp from the beginning and soon
became an icon of the left. The left wingers will use her for a rallying cry.
The left wing Democrats are already crying foul because of President Trump’s no nonsense initiative to immediately replace RBG. The fact is the United States Constitution says nothing about waiting for anything when a vacancy occurs. The idea of waiting is a political ploy used by both sides depending on who is in power. President Trump is doing just what he is supposed to do. Does anyone
actually think if the Democrats were in power they would do it any differently?
It is the announced goal of the left wingers to literally tear the United States and its institutions apart. One of their goals is to pack the United States Supreme Court. To be clear, the radical left, if they get into power, would expand the United States Supreme Court to 15 Justices from its present 9 Justices. The next 6 Justices would be left wing radicals that would overpower the rest of the
Court and become a rubber stamp for whatever the left wants. Joe Biden was against packing the court but has suddenly become quiet on the packing issue; hmmm, what must he have been told on how to think!
Their next goal is to pack the United States Senate. Their plan is to add Puerto Rico, Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands as States. This would add six senators that the left would control. I have a friend who lives in Puerto Rico and it is an absolute den of corruption. If you recall the hurricane a few years ago that devastated the island, most of the damage was to the power grid. In
previous years, hundreds of millions of dollars was sent to Puerto Rico to upgrade their electric service to make it hurricane resistant. Very little of it, if any, was used for its intended purpose. The money was all stolen by corrupt politicians. That is why we had to give them money, to redo the power grid all over again. The same is true for other services according to my friend. The last thing we need is to make Puerto Rico a State. We do not need
any more states unless Alberta, Canada decided to join the Union.
The recent development with RBG emphasizes the importance of this election. This election will set the course for the United States for the next 50 years or more. Every gun owner better get out and vote. To not do so is tantamount to treason.
Joe Bartozzi, President of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), reports that of the more than 5,000,000 new gun owners in the United States, 50% were 40 years old or under. Moreover, of that number, 50% were 30 and under. The NSSF also surveyed likely voters in 18 swing states. Of those surveyed, more than half oppose gun bans. The problem is that many proposed bills have gun bans
hidden in them and some won’t understand the real consequences of the bill if it became law. Those not totally informed can be misled and that is on purpose. Of course, none of these numbers matter if those new gun owners and potential voters don’t actually vote. It is up to all of us to see that they do vote.
Some of you think that Illinois is not a swing state. There will be no Electoral College votes for President Trump but the more votes pro-gun candidates get at every level, the stronger the message is to the anti-gun side. In the Illinois General Assembly, the switching of just a few anti-gun legislators to pro-gun legislators makes a difference.
Michael Bloomberg is at it again. This time he is paying the fines of 32,000 Florida felons to make them eligible to vote. This is another attempt to steal the Presidential Election in Florida. This is actually vote buying, which is illegal, but we all have to remember the left wing billionaire bullies are special; just what we need, felons making public policy. We will see what the Florida
Attorney General has to say about this. I have to admit it would be nice to see Bloomberg in jail with all his felon friends.

September 24, 1789 - The United States Supreme Court is established by the Judicatory Act. There was no set number of Justices until 1869 when nine Justices were set by law. John Jay was the first Supreme Court Chief Justice. George Washington appointed the entire court. Each year the Supreme Court receives about 10,000 requests to review cases but only about 80 are heard per
year.
September 25, 1789 - The Bill of Rights was passed by Congress.
September 26, 1918 - The Meuse-Argonne Offensive begins. It is in this offensive the American troops distinguished themselves. Among those individuals was Sergeant Alvin C. York Congressional Medal of Honor recipient and Major Charles W. Whittlesey of the Lost Battalion (more about that next week).
September 28, 1781 - The Battle of Yorktown begins. Lord Charles Cornwallis finds himself and his 9,000 British troops surround by George Washington and 17,000 American and French troops. The French Fleet was blocking both British reinforcements and retreat by sea for Cornwallis. George Washington fired the first cannon beginning the bombardment of Cornwallis’s position.
September 30, 1954 - The U.S.S. Nautilus is commissioned, the world’s first atomic submarine. The ship traveled more than 500,000 miles before being decommissioned in 1980. It is now on display at the Submarine Force Museum at Groton, Connecticut.
October 1, 2020 - Archery Deer Season begins.
