Hello,
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez paid tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg this past weekend, saying Justice Ginsburg served as a "visual communication to women across the country to say: take up space. And when you are in this space, you don't have to occupy this space in the way that every man before you did."
In the days since Justice Ginsburg's passing, Mitch McConnell and his Republican Senate have manipulated democratic precedent to wield power in Trump's favor.
Their decision to push through a Supreme Court nomination just days before the election directly threatens our democracy for the gain of the Republican party.
We firmly stand with AOC, who says, "[Democratic voters] are highly motivated about just making sure that vacancy is protected and preserved for the next president" -- but Donald Trump has said he will have a nominee by the end of the week, and Republicans are pushing to vote before the American people can have a say. With the future of our highest democratic institution on the line, we need to know:
Do you stand with AOC?
