Texas Values Launches Campaign to Protect Religious Freedom with Save Chick-fil-A Law This week, we announced the launch of a new state-wide campaign to educate Texans on the Save Chick-fil-A Religious Freedom Law that went into effect on September 1st. At SaveChickfilA.com you can join our effort to spread the word about Texas’ newest religious freedom law that ensures state and local governments can’t punish Texans for simply living out their faith. The Save Chick-fil-A Religious Freedom Law, SB 1978, passed the Texas Legislature with bipartisan support and was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott on June 10, 2019. This law protects more than just Chick-fil-A. It ensures state and local governments do not punish Texans because of their membership or association with a religious organization or church, or because of their donation to a religious organization or church. The goal of this campaign is to educate and empower every Texan with their rights under this new law. | |
