Friend,

When Chris Wallace moderated a presidential debate in 2016, he failed to ask a single climate question.

Yesterday, Fox News released six topics Wallace plans to question the candidates on at next week's first presidential debate, and it appears Wallace is on track to make the same mistake again.

Climate is not on the list, but there's still time for Wallace to right the ship.

With fires raging across the West and communities in the East preparing for and recovering from a record hurricane season, the climate crisis should be front and center in any conversation about how to lead America forward.

While it's deeply concerning that climate is missing from Wallace's list, the climate crisis connects to many of the six topic areas being offered. The economy, the Supreme Court, COVID-19, racial justice -- these are all climate issues, too.

We are at a critical moment where more Americans than ever are experiencing the effects of the climate crisis on their health and livelihoods. And Americans are demanding answers from their elected leaders on climate policy. Ignoring climate in a major presidential debate, as happened four years ago, would be a huge disservice to the needs of the public.

Tell debate moderator Chris Wallace directly: Prioritize climate at next week's debate!
