Here’s a quick recap of how Donald Trump and his Administration have devastated Iowa’s 4th district:
- His disastrous, go-it-alone trade war has cost this district more money than any other district in America. It was a slap in the face to our farmers who spent decades of their own time and money to access markets in China. To make matters worse, we haven’t held China accountable for their unfair trade practices and Iowa farmers are even worse off.
- He passed 85 RFS waivers, undercutting our corn growers and folks in the renewable fuels industry and leading to 150 ethanol plants to idle or close.
- He’s allowed market consolidation in the agriculture industry to push family farmers off the farm.
- He passed the USMCA without mandatory country-of-origin labelling, making it harder for our cattle producers to compete.
- His coronavirus “response?” It’s been more about corporate handouts than helping our nation contain and control this virus.
It shows just how out of touch Randy Feenstra is that he’ll accept an endorsement from someone who has actively made it more difficult for working people in Iowa’s 4th district to get by and provide for their families.
We expect this one tweet from Trump to fire up his followers and funnel YUGE sums of money into Feenstra's war chest. There are just 41 days until the election and Trump thinks he can take this seat from working families to help build his own momentum in Iowa.
We cannot let that happen -- especially because we’re now neck and neck in this race.
