John,
Monday morning, a mob of protesters screamed, blared horns, and pounded on the front door of my house in Washington because I dared to say that the
Senate should do something that has been done many times before: appoint a Supreme Court Justice
in an election year.
There is an urgent need to fill this vacant seat, and I need your support to stand up to these protests. Will you join me and tell the mob that we won't back
down?
The process of confirming a new justice was forever changed by the horrible way Democrats treated Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his
confirmation hearings. They tried to destroy the life of an accomplished jurist, and now they are reaping what they sowed.
I have the honor of chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee, and I am committed to working with President Trump to advance a qualified nominee. The
mob outside my house won't change that. We need nine justices on the Supreme Court, and I will fulfill my role in making that happen.
John, I need to know if you're with me. Please stand
with me and fight back against this mob by adding your name to our pledge today. They don't scare me – I've faced worse
adversaries, but they want to divide and silence us.
They will do whatever they can to destroy a conservative nominee and delay the Senate confirmation process. I hope you will join me in standing up to the mob!
Sincerely,
Lindsey Graham
