Friday’s news was devastating, y’all.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a trailblazing fighter for justice. Her life of service and fierce dedication to equality changed my life and the lives of millions of women who knew they could do more than what anyone gave them credit for. Her legacy is one that will shape America for generations -- and while the news of her passing was gutting, I also feel an immense amount of hope.
In the hours after the news broke, a groundswell of support started pouring into our campaign. Hour after hour, throughout the entire weekend, tens of thousands everyday Americans joined our campaign and pitched in what they could. In a moment of darkness, people showed our campaign that they believe in a better future, and that they’re willing to fight for it.
I’m humbled to say that nearly 200,000 new donors joined our grassroots team this past weekend. The outpouring of support is staggering, and I’m ready to fight like hell to win -- because the stakes are too high to do any less.
It’s our job to carry on her legacy now, y’all. Will you join nearly 200,000 other new members of our grassroots army and defeat Sen. Cornyn?
