John, there's an important deadline for our campaign coming up in just one week: the quarterly Federal Election Commission fundraising filing deadline.

If you're unfamiliar with the process, here's a quick summary: once a quarter, every campaign must file their fundraising numbers for the past three months. Once those are filed, they are made public for everyone to see.

Political media and pundits use those fundraising numbers to determine the strength of a candidate, campaign, or even a political movement. Their judgments can help bolster a movement — or they can dissuade supporters from lending a hand when it's needed most.

That's why it's so important that we file strong numbers this quarter.

We're hoping to end the quarter on a high note with $350,000 in fundraising, but we still have a ways to go until then. We're exactly a week out from the deadline and $30,032 shy of our goal; will you chip in $5 and help us close this gap?
