Across the country, we are mourning the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She was a trailblazer for equality and pushed for the highest standards of justice in America.
Everything that she stood for and fought for, however, is being threatened.
Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump want to fill Justice Ginsburg’s position before the election this year. In 2016, McConnell blocked Obama from appointing a Justice before the elections. But now, McConnell and Trump are blatantly ignoring the past for their own political gain.
Justice Ginsburg fought for all of us. It is now our responsibility to continue to push for the justice and equality that she advocated for all of her life.
