While the chaos coming from the White House dominates the news cycle, we wanted you to know that Mike is still busy getting concrete initiatives advanced through Congress for our community.
The Spent Nuclear Fuel Solutions Research and Development Act will develop a new research program in the U.S. Department of Energy to improve our ability to remove radioactive waste deposits. This is a key step in eliminating nuclear waste from San Onofre as quickly and safely as possible.
This bill is supported by a wide range of stakeholders -- from Southern California Edison to a bipartisan group of state legislators. Now, we need to cut through the noise, build momentum around it, and get this passed.
