Greetings Friend --
Bill Brawley is running to get his old seat back in the North Carolina House of Representatives, House District 103. Bill represented this district for 8 years before losing the seat last election to Rachel Hunt, the daughter of former Democrat Governor Jim Hunt, by 68 votes. The district sits in Mecklenburg County, covering parts of southeast Charlotte, Mint Hill, and Matthews.
A commercial real estate broker from Charlotte, Representative Bill Brawley has been active in his community for 30 years, where he spent two terms on the Matthews Town Council and eleven years on the Mecklenburg Parks Commission. He was appointed to the Citizens Blue Ribbon Commission on County Governance and served or chaired over a dozen other boards and committees.
Throughout his time in the North Carolina House of Representatives, Bill Brawley was a solid vote on legislation involving our values—supporting life, family values, and religious freedom. During his last term in office he championed the issue of sex trafficking, passing a bill to strengthen criminal penalties and funding organizations that treat the victims.
The North Carolina Values Coalition has endorsed Bill Brawley in his race to win back the House District 103 seat. This seat is important to retaining a majority of conservatives in the NC House and in building back a super majority. It is critical to the entire state.
On election night in 2018, Representative Brawley had won re-election by 52 votes, but by the next day, enough absentee ballots had been found to give his challenger the victory. The NC Values Coalition took a team of volunteers into the Board of Elections for Mecklenburg County and uncovered over 300 absentee ballots that had been improperly executed and should have been thrown out. Unfortunately, after 10 days, our opportunity to challenge these votes expired. Hopefully, Bill Brawley will win by enough votes this year to minimize the damage from voter fraud. We hope you will remember Bill Brawley when you vote!
On tonight's episode of The NC Values Voice, we welcome Bill Brawley, Republican candidate for NC House District 103. We hope you'll join us at 7:30pm to find out why we've endorsed Bill for the NC House. <[link removed]>
