I'm proud to be an Iowan, team,

My grandfather was a firefighter right here in Dubuque. When he was rushing into burning buildings he never asked where you were from or what party you belonged to. He simply knew someone needed help and he was willing to do whatever he could to help them.

I take that same spirit to the floors of Congress. It guides me as I fight for policies that make life better for folks back home.

I was proud to write the bipartisan plan to permanently fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

And I proudly voted in support of protecting constituents with pre-existing conditions when partisan politicians were pushing bad insurance plans during COVID-19 relief negotiations.

I will always fight for Iowans over partisan politics because my grandfather taught me that a public servant always puts others first.
