It's no secret -- Lizzie is one of national Republicans top targets in 2020. Here in Houston, Democrats and Republicans are supporting Lizzie's re-election campaign because she has built a broad coalition of support based on her record of work doing what's right for our community and working across the aisle on issues that matter to us.
Still, our opponent and national GOP-aligned groups are spreading lies and misinformation -- spending nearly $1 million this week alone -- in a desperate effort to fool voters.
For them, it doesn't matter whether what they say is true (as evidenced by the lies they are telling), they just think if they say it often enough, and loud enough, people will believe it. Sound familiar?
They are doing everything they can to turn the House of Representatives into the House of Trump.
And our race is ground zero. Just this month they opened one of only twelve offices across the country right here in our district. And they've reserved lots of air time on TV to continue saying whatever they think will help them win.
We know this is just the beginning. These attacks will continue until Election Day. We will respond by telling voters the truth. Because the truth matters. We have seen that all too vividly this year. We simply can't afford to elect people who lie to us about matters of importance to our community like our opponent and his allies.
Together, we will fight back against these misleading attacks, but we need the resources to do it. Please contribute to our campaign today -- every dollar makes a difference.
Thanks,
Team Lizzie
