3 Part Panel Series:
Survivor-Centered Human Trafficking Response in the Healthcare Setting
The IPATH Taskforce invites you to join us for this unique panel series on survivor-centered, trauma-informed response to human trafficking survivors seeking care in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings.
According to Polaris Project, home to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, healthcare was identified by survivors of trafficking as the number 3 of the top five spaces survivors access while experiencing trafficking. This provides healthcare professionals with a particularly unique opportunity to provide a positive system interaction, trauma-informed care and referrals, and a judgement free space for disclosure. As such, the Adult Victim Services Committee and Healthcare Working Group of the IPATH Taskforce have created a panel series dedicated to better identifying, connecting with, and providing care for human trafficking survivors seeking care. The three-part panel series features a panel on OB, EMS/EMT/ER, and a panel dedicated to the diverse voices of lived experience experts: human trafficking Survivor Leaders from around the state and country.
