The devastating impact of the COVID-19 crisis continues to underline the fact that we face a decade of discontinuity and uncertainty, with further shocks and systemic disruption ahead. Moments of radical change such as this force us to revisit what we value and to explore how we might reimagine the future.
As we all grapple with 'what next?', now more than ever we need urgent and decisive action at scale and at pace - but where should we focus to drive change?
On 14 October, we will publish our latest Future of Sustainability report, which will reveal five key interconnected dynamic areas already influencing the 2020s and what the implications are for creating a more sustainable future. It will also highlight a number of trajectories forward that we see emerging from COVID-19 and consider how these may play out in the years ahead.
The launch will be marked by two immersive events, moderated by journalist, Jo Confino, and set to feature a number of visionary voices giving their perspective on how we can drive the transformation needed to create a just and sustainable future.

Over the last few months, we have been building a new Futures Centre platform, which is set to relaunch on 6 October. A free, crowd-sourced site created by users, for users, the Futures Centre remains dedicated to futures for sustainability and will bring you the latest 'signals of change' (ideas, innovations and developments with potential to disrupt the norm) as well as a range of insights and resources to make sense of what we're seeing.
The launch will kickstart an ongoing and exclusive series of opinion pieces from a range of thought leaders across the sustainability movement - each providing unique perspectives on wide-ranging topics and issues.
