We’re all reeling from Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing and the looming fight over her Supreme Court successor. We were already reeling from the health and economic devastation COVID-19 has brought on tens of millions of Americans, and its disproportionate damage to Black and Brown communities.

Our health and our healthcare are under attack. If Congress fails to pass another generous COVID-19 Recovery package similar to what the House of Representatives has already done with the HEROES Act, millions of newly unemployed Americans are facing eviction, hunger, and a loss of healthcare coverage. State and local governments, and Medicaid, are also facing serious budget shortfalls that will reduce or eliminate vital programs and services we all depend on.

And now with RBG’s passing, the fate of the Affordable Care Act is hanging in the balance. Four justices on the Supreme Court have already voted against it. With another anti-ACA vote from a new extremely conservative new justice when the Court considers on November 10th whether the ACA should stand, 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions could be back to the bad old days when they couldn’t get insurance, or it was crazy expensive for them to get it.

We can’t sit back and watch our health and our healthcare be taken away by partisans who care more about profits than people. Especially in the middle of this pandemic. We’re fighting for our democracy, and we’re fighting for our lives. JOIN THE FIGHT!
