That's why they have their hopes set on flipping this seat red in November. After all, President Trump won his district by nine points in 2016. They're hoping that if they can flip PA-08, they can flip the House along with it. And they may be right.

Even though Matt knew President Trump would make him a target this year, Matt hasn't backed down from taking on tough fights for working Americans.
Matt has been an effective partner on issues that matter: protecting health care for seniors and low-income families, providing hazard pay and additional support for frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, fighting Republicans' attempts to overturn the Affordable Care Act in the courts, expanding access to natural and cultural resources in Pennsylvania, protecting our waterways and coastal communities, and much more.
Pennsylvanians know they can count on Matt, but Republicans are doing everything they can to undermine him and turn PA-08 red. Donald Trump held his first town hall of the 2020 campaign in Matt's district when he came to my hometown of Scranton, and Donald Trump Jr. is fundraising for Matt's opponent.
