Promote College Savings Month this September

September is College Savings Month [[link removed]]. During this month, many organizations across the country promote the importance of having early savings for college through school and community events, social media and email campaigns, and introducing incentives to help families open new Children’s Savings Accounts (CSAs). We’ll be promoting CSAs as an important college savings tool on social media throughout the month.

Help us get the word out to your networks. Check out ideas and social media shareables in the College Savings Month toolkit [[link removed]] prepared by Big Duck [[link removed]] and sponsored by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.

During College Savings Month, the 1:1 Fund [[link removed]] will also hold its Back to School fundraising campaign from September 9-13. This is an opportunity for the 1:1 Fund’s CSA partners to raise money, educate and connect with new donors, and share the amazing work they are doing across the country. Your donations to participating CSA programs during the Back to School campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $500. Visit 1to1fund.org [[link removed]] to make your donation next week!

For ongoing updates on College Savings Month follow us on Twitter @savingsforkids [[link removed]] and @1to1fund [[link removed]]. We hope that you will participate this month by tweeting and retweeting messages as well as promoting College Savings Month in your area.
