Hello,

Mitch McConnell has reiterated his vow to hold a vote on any Supreme Court nominee that Donald Trump picks in the very near future -- despite the fact that the election is now just 41 days away.

This is not the first time McConnell has used his majority power to work against Americans' best interests and threaten our democracy. Over the last four years, he has proudly called himself the "grim reaper" of legislation, refusing to vote on bills covering everything from climate change action, domestic violence protections, and most recently, financial relief for working families during the pandemic.

Now, he's working to shift the balance of power in the Supreme Court in Trump's favor for a generation -- before the American people have a chance to choose their new leadership. All in the hopes of installing a new far-right justice who will strip Americans of their health care in November. We condemn Mitch McConnell's blatant disregard for our democratic institutions and demand he respect the precedent he himself set in 2016 by letting the next president fill the vacant SCOTUS seat.
