Because we’re in a “dead heat” according to polling, even the smallest thing can shift this race in one direction or the other.
So if we don’t make this FEC goal, our opponent, the pundits, and outside interests will see it as a sign of weakness, and the polls could change for the worse.
On the other hand, if we do rally and make this goal, we can strengthen our campaign, fight back against our GOP opponent and her dark money backers, and prove to everyone that we can and will win this election.
