Hegseth is a danger to the public at home and abroad.
John,
Congressman Thomas Massie has announced that he will reintroduce his articles of impeachment early next week against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth—a measure with growing bipartisan support. Massie is expected to force a House floor vote next week on his articles.
Our representatives need to hear from us before then.
Since becoming Secretary of Defense, Hegseth has proven to be a danger to the public both at home and abroad. He has committed multiple impeachable offenses, including:
Unconstitutionally usurping Congress’s powers to declare war, coordinating and assisting with attacks on Iran and Yemen without congressional authorization
Refusing to withdraw U.S. forces from Iran after Congress directed their removal
Continuing to illegally wage war in Iran beyond statutory deadlines laid out in the War Powers Resolution of 1973
Committing war and humanitarian crimes, including ignoring laws to minimize civilian casualties and intentionally killing shipwreck survivors in the Caribbean
Abusing his power by intimidating Sen. Mark Kelly for practicing his right to free speech
Directing the unauthorized kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro—a sovereign foreign leader—and his wife, Cilia Flores
Members of Congress swore an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution. When a rogue official tramples on the Constitution and the rule of law, they have the power and the responsibility to hold him accountable.
