Thanks to you, voters won on Tuesday.
ACLU Supporter, this Tuesday was a win for our democracy.
The Trump administration tried for months to sow distrust, interfere, and make it harder for voters to cast a ballot.
But at every turn, they were met by people like you – advocates who fiercely believe in the strength of our democracy and wouldn't let those in power overrule the power of the people.
Our People Power team is hosting a post-election briefing tonight, November 6, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT. If you're ready to help us keep up the work for our democracy, RSVP now. <[link removed]> Please note: This link will take you to a third-party website, mobilize.us.

Here's how we got to Tuesday:
* Anti-voter politicians tried to pass new legislation like the SAVE Act to make it harder for voters to register and cast a ballot – and thanks to public outcry from hundreds of thousands of supporters like you, this effort was stopped in Congress multiple times.
* President Trump weaponized the Justice Department to go after private voter data, and with your support, our legal team challenged his attacks in court. In 27 of 27 cases, courts issued rulings that protected your sensitive info.
* The president tried to introduce unlawful restrictions on mail voting and voter registration – and our legal team blocked these restrictions in court.
* Politicians drew new, gerrymandered district lines in an unprecedented wave of mid-cycle redistricting to try to lock in their power, and you packed statehouses to say no. And showed up to vote anyway.
* The Trump administration tried to discount election results in Alaska before votes were even counted – and we filed an emergency intervention to ensure the will of the people prevailed, securing dismissal of the government's suit.
* All told, our legal team took over 140 legal actions in 43 states this cycle to protect voters' rights and safeguard our elections.
These powerful moments are the story of this election cycle – and thanks to you, millions of voters took to the polls on Tuesday, sending a clear message that nothing will stop us from exercising our democratic right to vote.
Now, our election safeguarding work turns to the future. Our experts are drafting plans to shore up the protections we won this cycle and protect against future threats. We're fighting President Trump's abuses of power and federal overreach in court. And as a new Congress prepares to take office, we're preparing to urge them to prioritize our voting rights and our democracy to protect our elections for years to come.
Elections belong to the people, not to politicians. With your help, we're keeping it that way.
Register for our People Power call tonight at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT to join the team shoring up these voting rights wins and reining in the abuse of power from the Trump administration. <[link removed]> Please note: This link will take you to a third-party website, mobilize.us.
