Donald Trump is terrified that he’s going to lose Minnesota, friend — that was made clear tonight when he attacked me (again) on stage at one of his rallies, pulling a line straight from his xenophobic playbook: “She’s telling us how to run our country. How did you do where you came from?”
He should be scared. Democrats’ power in Minnesota runs straight through the Fifth District, where our primary win last month shattered turnout records, bringing in 25,000 new voters. He’s behind in the polls, and knows our movement is empowering young people to vote to defeat him and to make our bold, progressive ideas a reality. That’s why he resorts to racism and xenophobia every time he brings up my name — he’s trying to rile up his base to vote against a Muslim refugee who’s helping build a movement that unapologetically fights to dismantle the very racist institutions that prop him up. But our organizing power is unmatched, and if we keep it up, we can defeat him.
Will you rush in your first donation of $5 to make sure we have the resources to combat the onslaught of attacks by getting out the vote for our campaign and Democrats up and down the ballot in Minnesota?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I’ve lost count of how many times Donald Trump and Republicans have tried to undermine our movement, from snide comments at rallies to deceptive mailers to violent attack ads. But we can’t let their hatred and division distract us. For every attack, we need to send out another street team to get out the vote to win this election and defeat Trump in Minnesota.
Rush in your first donation of $5 to power our organizing efforts and show Trump that our movement is stronger than his hate.
Thanks for all you do,
Ilhan Omar
