You’ve probably already heard the news
– with the recent passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, President Trump and
the Senate will now have to appoint and confirm a new Supreme Court
Justice.

The Democrats have already vowed to not back President
Trump’s nominee (who hasn’t even been named yet!).

Since 1796, we
have had 17 successful Supreme Court confirmations during election
years of unified government between the Senate and the president. This
was NOT the case in 2016 after the passing of Antonin Scalia, when
Democrat Barack Obama still held the White House.

The Democrats’
immediate reluctance to engage in this process shows how hypocritical
they are, and the importance of keeping the Senate RED in 2020 and
beyond. We saw the mess they created with Justice Kavanaugh’s
confirmation hearing — is this what we have to look forward to again?
