Friends,

The 2020 Liberty Medal was one of the last honors bestowed upon Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She received this award from the National Constitution Center in recognition of her “efforts to advance liberty and equality for all.”

If anyone deserved this high honor, it was Justice Ginsburg. She deserves to be in the good company of fellow recipients Nelson Mandela, Sandra Day O’Connor, and Malala Yousafzai -- and no doubt history will remember her that way.

Donald Trump has vowed to fill Justice Ginsburg’s vacancy “without delay.” Amy Coney Barrett (favored by religious conservatives for her strict anti-abortion rulings) and Texas Senator Ted Cruz (a man who needs no introduction for his regressive policy record) are on Trump’s shortlist.

Replacing Justice Ginsburg with someone who’ll fight against everything she stood for is no way to honor her. We’re doing everything we can to stop Trump from getting another Supreme Court appointment. That starts with supporting Justice Ginsburg’s last request -- that her seat not be filled until we have a new president. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now -- tell us:

Do you support RBG's last request?
