The last few days have been especially difficult.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, deliberate and dedicated in her craft, spent her life creating a more just world. 5’1” in stature, she stood as a giant for justice and equality. In her name, we press on. We must turn our collective grief into action. Our democracy is at stake and we cannot let up for a moment.
Today is National Voter Registration Day, and it has never been more important to organize and mobilize to take back the White House and the Senate on November 3rd.
The occupant of the White House and Republicans in Congress are already doing everything they can to undermine November’s election by suppressing the vote and attacking the postal service.
We can’t allow this fascist administration to steal this election from the American people. Our country cannot afford four more minutes of Donald Trump, let alone four more years.
We must deliver Joe Biden and Kamala Harris a resounding victory in November, and continue our work to advance the fight for progressive policies like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, the People’s Justice Guarantee, and so much more.
Our work doesn’t end in November, but it starts with your vote. My plan is to vote in person at an early voting location. Take a moment to pledge to vote. We must not grow apathetic or disillusioned; we must take the pain and fear we are feeling and turn it into fuel for action.
Thank you for being a part of our collective movement for change. We’ll never stop fighting like hell for our communities, and the first step is to defeat the occupant of the White House in November.
In solidarity,
Ayanna Pressley
