We’ve sent you a lot of pesky emails asking you to chip in — trust us, we don’t like asking for your hard-earned dollars, but we don’t have a choice right now. And if you have just a minute to spare, we can explain why your contribution is so important today.

The final quarterly deadline of this election is exactly one week away. That’s when we will report how much money we’ve raised and how many people have contributed to the Federal Election Commission — and then, that report will be made public for everyone from Mitch McConnell to Donald Trump to see.

That means everything we do over the next few days is under close watch. Republicans will use our report to determine the strength (or weakness) of this campaign — and they’ll decide if we have what it takes to flip the Senate.

But this deadline is about more than just the amount of money we’ve raised this quarter — it’s also about the number of people who have contributed. When you chip in $5, $10, or even $25 you’re saying that you reject Mitch McConnell’s dangerous agenda.

The stakes are higher than ever with Senate Republicans promising to ram through a right-wing judge to the Supreme Court as quickly as possible. It’s never been more important to take back the Senate, end McConnell’s grip on power, and elect a president that will nominate someone who believes in equality, justice, and the rule of law.

That’s why it’s critical that we knock this report out of the park and prove we have what it takes to flip the Senate and stop Mitch McConnell in his tracks.
