Building No Kill Communities!
FOSTER
Dear John,

The five-year project to transform our Medical Center into the nation's premier homeless pet hospital is nearing completion and this grass-roots effort truly is an achievement every animal lover can celebrate. We’re so much closer to attaining a No Kill Chicago!

By developing our existing medical center in Little Village, we’re creating a 30,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility where we can save more critically ill and injured pets. Pets like Onyx. (You can see her gentle spirit shine through in the photo above.)

Just weeks ago, Onyx was found under a porch in Houston, Texas with her four puppies. Whether motivated by a mother's love or by her sheer desire to live, Onyx did the unthinkable. And they survived. Read her story.

With our new best-in-class medical facility, thousands of animals like Onyx can be saved. We're so excited to have you see it and join in this important work.

PAWS Rescues 25 Homeless Animals from Hurricane Laura

PAWS stepped up to save 10 dogs and 15 cats from Hurricane Laura, a severe Category 4 storm that struck the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast recently, displacing humans and animals from their homes and leaving the entire area in need of assistance. The animals were transferred to our care from shelters impacted by the storm, freeing them to save the influx of local animals displaced by the hurricane.

Find Your Love

Help Bring Luna Home

A sweet PAWS alumna named Luna was the victim of a carjacking recently, and we are desperate to find her. Two generous PAWS supporters have offered a $5,000 reward for her safe return. If you've seen Luna or her carrier, or have any information, please call 630-995-2009.

Family Volunteering is Back!

Pssst, calling all parents—we have a way to safely entertain your kiddos and do some good. We’re officially reopening Family Service Orientation at our Medical Center (the program remains temporarily closed at our Adoption Centers) and we can’t wait to begin virtual training for new volunteer families to support homeless pets! It’s a great way to earn school community service hours or foster a love of service (and animals!) in your kids. Open to children ages 12 - 17.
