Dear John,

It’s been a while since we sent out our first and second member survey questions, but we’ve been saving the third for a special occasion...National Voter Registration Day!

Today, on National Voter Registration Day, we want to remind you just how important it is to vote, especially in a big election year like 2020. Environmental champions are running really close races at the state, local, and national level, and your vote will help them win! But, in order to vote, you need to make sure you’re registered by the October 13th deadline.

For our final member survey question, we want to know: are you registered to vote yet?

Member Survey Question #3: Are You Registered to Vote Yet?
- Yes and I’m ready to vote for environmental champs!
- Not yet, but I’m going to register soon.
- I’m not sure if I’m registered, but I’m going to check online.

If you’re not sure if you’re registered, you can click here to check and register online: [link removed]! Or, if you’ve moved and/or want to make sure your address is correct, you can update your voter registration here: [link removed] It’s super easy and only takes a few minutes. You can also help by reminding your friends and family to register, too. Each vote and each voice can make a huge difference in building a better future for Oregon.

Once you’re registered, you’ll be all set to receive your ballot in the mail. As you plan your vote, be sure to check out OLCV’s 2020 Endorsements for the General Election on our website [[link removed]]! There, you can find a list of candidates in your area who are dedicated to protecting Oregon’s people and places; candidates who will fight for clean air and water, resilient communities, and climate action.

This election, it’s more important than ever to vote for candidates who will work alongside us to create a better world. The intense wildfires we’re experiencing are making it clear that climate change is happening here, and now, and that we’re running out of time to take action.

So, John, this is our chance to make a change. Are you registered to vote yet? Let us know for our third member survey question! And, if you’re not registered yet, please make sure you register to vote online, and get ready to vote for environmental champs this fall. The future is at stake in this election, and your voice is key in helping create a better one.

Thank you for being an environmental voter!

Lindsey Scholten
