A veteran is in a toss-up race where Washington Republicans are spending millions to defeat the Democratic candidate.

Of course, that's exactly how you could describe my 2018 race for Congress. It's also how you can describe Dan McCready's race for North Carolina's 9th congressional district happening right now.

But even more important: Dan is a Marine Corps veteran who stepped up to serve after 9/11. He's committed to putting his country over partisan politics, protecting health care, and he knows firsthand the importance of securing our elections. He's exactly the kind of leader we need in the House.
