Friends,
Senator Dick Durbin has always had my back, ever since I first decided to run for public office. In fact, he's the one who asked me to run for Congress in the first place.
We met weeks after I was shot down when I was recovering from the attack on my helicopter which took both my legs. But even back then, when I was barely able to move, Dick Durbin never saw me as broken or someone to be pitied. Instead he saw someone who was searching for another way to serve our nation and he encouraged me to run for Congress. I will always be grateful to him for that.
So now, I want to do everything I can to support his campaign because he is up for reelection this November.
That's why I'm asking you to split a donation between our two campaigns today. If you want to give, you can make that donation here:

Dick Durbin has been a strong champion for our Democratic values in the Senate. He wrote the original Dream Act and has been fighting to protect Dreamers from deportation for more than 18 years.
He's also been a leader in the fight to defend the Affordable Care Act, enact meaningful criminal justice reform and secure our elections from foreign interference (which is incredibly critical right now).
We can't afford to lose Dick Durbin's voice in the Senate. Illinois needs him, and I need him by my side in Washington. So please, chip in if you can.
Thank you for reading.
All my best,
Tammy Duckworth
