This past Labor Day Weekend, I had plans to write you a positive, uplifting note about the incredible labor of our non-stop grassroots, state-based gun violence prevention leaders.

Then you know what happened. Another hideous example of mass carnage came out of the end of an assault rifle on the highway between Odessa and Midland, TX.

And I had to write about that instead.

But now the news flash is over. The journalists and photographers have left the scene.

And our tenacious, hard-working, ever-ready state gun violence prevention leaders are back at it.

They are back at the amazing labor of love they do every day. They are back at getting the job done to make our communities safer.
