Dear John,

There was a time in America when the death of a national icon and lifelong fighter for equality and justice would’ve been met by everyone with mourning, reverence, and respect for the memory of the deceased. 

Apparently, that time is no more. 

The truth is, the “Grand Old Party” is dead. And my opponent, Rep. Ken Buck, has made his indelible mark on Colorado politics by ensuring the message is one of division, vitriol, and power at all costs in his capacity as Chairman of the Colorado Republican Party. 

Trump and Ken Buck have waged open war not just on working people, anyone needing healthcare, or our national security interests, but also on the very notion of decency.
